Stayed for 6 days, didn't have breakfast, didn't turn on the TV, so I can't rate it. The location of the hotel is very convenient - a 2-minute walk from the Westbannhof railway station, from where a bus to the airport leaves every 30 minutes around the clock. Near the metro and trams, so accessibility to any area is good. The hotel is located near the city center, 30-40 minutes walk to the Museum Quarter. Although the hotel is at a crossroads, the room was quite quiet. The hotel has an elevator. The single room is small but comfortable. Comfortable bed, clean linen. Good hair dryer, wi-fi in the room worked fine. Welcome bottle of water upon arrival. The bathroom has good lighting, there is a mirror with magnification. Liquid soap on the sink and in the shower with an inconvenient dispenser - too much soap comes out at one time. The towels were changed as soon as I put them on the floor - I didn't have to change them every day. Bed linen was changed after 3 days. 5 minutes from the hotel there is a wonderful Viennese restaurant Pulkauthaler, where you can have a tasty and not very expensive lunch. The hotel staff is friendly and kind.

The team at Hotel Westbahn is not dedicated to customers but to people, and this is a personal touch that I appreciated very much. From the inconspicuous clothes line in the bathroom and the shoe spoon in the room's hallway, to the free warm drinks in the lobby and sanitary products in the lobby restroom, everything makes you feel at home. The staff at the reception desk made me feel very welcome, and the cleaning ladies did an excellent job! The creaking floors that people mention in their reviews are in fact old wooden floors in the hotel's hallways; those floors and the spiral staircase actually make you feel privileged to be able to sleep in a building with such history. The floors in the rooms are new; my room was spacious and clean, the window could be opened onto a quiet street, the heating could be regulated or turned off, which to me was very important. The TV appears to support Netflix and similar services. The hotel is only a few steps away from the Westbanhof train station, which also includes subway lines. A bus from the airport takes you directly to it. I would recommend this hotel to all types of travellers and I will be back for sure!

Wonderful location to train station and metro, that was more like a shopping mall with lots of eating choices, making it easy to stay just out of the city centre. There was a supermarket across the street. Modern room with everything you need. Complimentary coffee machine in reception area. Very good breakfast selection.

For us it is an excellent location to the city center and bahnhof. Basic furniture but clean room, bathroom with shower cabin is very small and narrow. Good room air condition in the hot summer! The beds are simple, not modern & comfortable mattresses. Breakfast is very tasty, wide variety of breakfast buffet and morning drinks! The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help! There is only one problem with this hotel = the size of the elevator = very small cabin of the only elevator (can take max. 2 adults) and can carry max. 150 kg which is only 2 people without bags!!! This is the one and only elevator in this hotel! You can imagine the situation in the morning and evening "rush hours" in the hotel!

The location is perfect. It's very close to the subway, tram, and train which can take you everywhere. There are only 5 stations, by metro to get to the Stephen's Chatedral. There is like a small Mall where you can buy food or groceries or clothes within 5 minutes walking distance. The hotel is very clean, the room service is prompt and comes daily. The room was big enough, we had a triple room, me and my daughters. The breakfast is diverse, lots of food to choose from, fruits, vegetables, sweets, sausages, omelette, bacon, coffee, tea, juice etc I definitely recommend this hotel. I would be happy to return one day.

We recently had a wonderful 3 nights stay at this hotel in Vienna. The hotel was extremely clean, and the breakfast offered everything one would expect from a great morning meal. Our room was spacious and spotless, allowing us to sleep very well in the quiet atmosphere, complemented by comfortable beds. The location is perfect, just 3-4 minutes from a shopping center, and public transportation is conveniently located beneath the center, making it easy to travel around the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which added to our positive experience. In my opinion, this hotel deserves a solid four-star rating. The price was very reasonable for a city like Vienna. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and we will definitely be returning.

We stayed in hotel in the mid November, when the weather outside was around +10C, and were afraid that we’d arrive to a cold room, but when we arrived the room was super hot, and it remained so during all our 3 days stay. Nobody turned heating off after cleaning, when we were not there, which we also thought might happen as some hotels do this kind of things. We were also allowed to check-in earlier, at 12 PM, as there was a ready room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is in an old building, but it’s taken care of. The room was freshly renovated, neat and clean, only the bathroom doesn’t seem to have been renovated recently, but it was clean, which is the most important thing, imho. Upon our arrival receptionist let us know that the TV in our room did not work, but that wasn’t a problem for us at all as we wouldn’t have time for it anyways. We were leaving hotel around 10 am and coming back after 10 pm, so for this kind of stay for a traveling couple the hotel is totally worth its money and even exceeded our expectations based on the existing reviews. Hotel is also located in a great place next to the West train station. In 3 minutes you can reach a tram, a metro station or a train station from which you can go by the VAL 1 bus straight to the airport. The whole rout from Stephan’s Square took us around 15 mins. There’s also a nice restaurant, Pulkautaler Wienhaus, serving local cuisine right besides the hotel where you can have lunch or supper.

Since I was travelling to Vienna for a quick stay, only 1 night, I booked the hotel without doing much research, I only needed it to be as close to a central location as possible. The hotel exceeded my expectations, everything was great. It is very close to Mariahilfestrasse, the famous shopping street of Vienna, and the train station Westbahnhof is nearby, so it is very accessible by all means of transportation. The staff was very welcoming and the room was very clean. Also beds were comfortable and above all it was very quiet so we did not have trouble getting sleep. I would totally recommend it.

Booked a triple room for my parents and me. I thought it would be a normal room with an extra bed but it was very spacious! We had a couch in addition to the beds and plenty of floor space. The hotel is right outside Westbahnhof (just have to cross one street if you take the right exit), not super central but with very convenient transit connections. We didn't book breakfast but there was free coffee (from a machine) in the lobby all day. Building was a bit older but the room was newly renovated.

Very close (walking distance) to the metro to get to the Schonbrunn Palace - 4 stops and you're there. Also to the Hop-On and-Hop-Off Sight-seeing Bus! There's a "mall" on the other side of the street - shops and restaurants. A delicious assortment of food items for breakfast - a bit of everything for all tastes. Very clean and comfortable room. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only hotel that we stayed in that had air-conditioning which was much appreciated due to the very warm weather that Austria was having. Very Affordable!
