The team at Hotel Westbahn is not dedicated to customers but to people, and this is a personal touch that I appreciated very much. From the inconspicuous clothes line in the bathroom and the shoe spoon in the room's hallway, to the free warm drinks in the lobby and sanitary products in the lobby restroom, everything makes you feel at home. The staff at the reception desk made me feel very welcome, and the cleaning ladies did an excellent job! The creaking floors that people mention in their reviews are in fact old wooden floors in the hotel's hallways; those floors and the spiral staircase actually make you feel privileged to be able to sleep in a building with such history. The floors in the rooms are new; my room was spacious and clean, the window could be opened onto a quiet street, the heating could be regulated or turned off, which to me was very important. The TV appears to support Netflix and similar services. The hotel is only a few steps away from the Westbanhof train station, which also includes subway lines. A bus from the airport takes you directly to it. I would recommend this hotel to all types of travellers and I will be back for sure!

Stayed for 6 days, didn't have breakfast, didn't turn on the TV, so I can't rate it. The location of the hotel is very convenient - a 2-minute walk from the Westbannhof railway station, from where a bus to the airport leaves every 30 minutes around the clock. Near the metro and trams, so accessibility to any area is good. The hotel is located near the city center, 30-40 minutes walk to the Museum Quarter. Although the hotel is at a crossroads, the room was quite quiet. The hotel has an elevator. The single room is small but comfortable. Comfortable bed, clean linen. Good hair dryer, wi-fi in the room worked fine. Welcome bottle of water upon arrival. The bathroom has good lighting, there is a mirror with magnification. Liquid soap on the sink and in the shower with an inconvenient dispenser - too much soap comes out at one time. The towels were changed as soon as I put them on the floor - I didn't have to change them every day. Bed linen was changed after 3 days. 5 minutes from the hotel there is a wonderful Viennese restaurant Pulkauthaler, where you can have a tasty and not very expensive lunch. The hotel staff is friendly and kind.

Extraordinary value, extraordinary staff. We were absolutely taken by price for value. My partner had her birthday, which the clerk noted on check-in, and as a result she was given a bottle of wine. The room had everything we needed. A free bottle of mineral water was provided, it had a small fridge, a safe and the little sweet topped the friendly impression. Our room faced busy Felberstrasse, but with closed windows, there was not really any street noise, except an occasional siren from emergency vehicles. Earplugs were provided, but not needed - and not all rooms face that road anyway. The location is excellent, the airport bus is 2 minutes away, and so is the UBahn which takes you anywhere in Vienna. 100 meters down the road is the Pulkautaler Weinhaus, a typical Viennese "Wirtshaus" (Wirtshaus is an establishment, like an English Pub, yet different and typical Viennese. The portions were ginormous and not expensive - there were four of us and no-one could eat the all of the serving.) We can't wait for our next Vienna visit to Hotel Westbahn! We are actually Australian expats, living in Styria.

I had a good experience staying at Westbahnhof Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, which created a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The hotel is conveniently located near the West Train Station, making it a great choice for those traveling by rail. However, it’s worth noting that it’s not very close to the city center, so getting to the main attractions may require some extra time. The room was clean and comfortable, though I did feel it lacked a bit of warmth due to the absence of carpeting - a small detail, but it would have made the space feel cozier. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast: it was excellent, with a generous and varied selection of food that exceeded expectations. Overall, a reliable and comfortable option for a short stay in Vienna, especially if being near the train station is important.

Dmitrii

For us it is an excellent location to the city center and bahnhof. Basic furniture but clean room, bathroom with shower cabin is very small and narrow. Good room air condition in the hot summer! The beds are simple, not modern & comfortable mattresses. Breakfast is very tasty, wide variety of breakfast buffet and morning drinks! The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help! There is only one problem with this hotel = the size of the elevator = very small cabin of the only elevator (can take max. 2 adults) and can carry max. 150 kg which is only 2 people without bags!!! This is the one and only elevator in this hotel! You can imagine the situation in the morning and evening "rush hours" in the hotel!
